17th July 2024, Shillong: The Rilang Children's Home organized a patriotic fancy dress competition on the occasion of U Tirot Sing Syiem Day, 2024. The event was held to commemorate the legendary leader who fought against the British colonial rule in India. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from the children, who dressed up in patriotic attires. Vivek Ghosh emerged as the winner of the competition, while Iaishanskhem Wanniang and Wankitdor secured the second and third positions respectively. Marius and Nickki received consolation prizes for their participation. The children's patriotic outfits and energetic performances mesmerized the audience. The event aimed to instill patriotism and cultural values among the children.
