Tripura 19th June: The 18th of June 2023 marked a Red Letter day for the Sacred Heart Parish at Bishramganj, Tripura. This day, a Parish day was celebrated and on this day a new Church dedicated to the Divine Mercy in the small village of Birchandrapara was blessed and inaugurated. The day commenced with blessing of the Church and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass by His Lordship, Lumen Monteiro the Bishop of Agartala Diocese accompanied by the Salesian confreres of Tripura Region. In spite the heaving pouring of the rain, the people did not restrain themselves to attend this special event of the parish. During the Mass, the Bishop conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation to 30 people from the different villages of the parish. There were also more than 50 first communicants on the special occasion. Soon after the Mass, a short felicitation was conducted to felicitate the Bishop, Priests, Religious and Church leaders of the Parish and the villages under this Parish. The celebration concluded with a fellowship meal.
