PARENTS’ MEETING AT ST XAVIER’S SCHOOL PATHALIAGHAT


Shillong 7th July: The Parents' meeting of Class IX - XII was held on 6th July 2024  at St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat to discuss various aspects of the school's academic and extracurricular activities.  A total of 410 parents turned up for this meeting. Fr. Babu Stephen, the Principal and Fr. K.K. Joseph, the Rector chaired the meeting. All the teaching staff too were present for the meeting. The  meeting commenced with a prayer led by Ms. Priyanka Debbarma  and words of welcome by Fr. K.K. Joseph, the Rector.  Fr. Babu Stephen also accorded a warm welcome to everyone and presented an overview of the school's achievements and upcoming events. At the very outset of the meeting, the parents thanked and appreciated the school management for inviting them for this important meeting. They were very happy to be part of this meeting. It made them feel very nice and contented at the same time this meeting gave them the opportunity to speak about their concerns.  Many parents  shared their expectations  and  concerns. Various important and relevant points were brought to the notice of the management and teachers for further discussion and action. It was an enriching experience for everyone to know more things about the life within the portals of St. Xavier's School.  1. Academic Performance: Teachers shared updates on student progress, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. 2. New Curriculum Initiatives: The school introduced new programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing student learning. 3. Extracurricular Activities: The school announced new vocational skill training programme, music programs, and club offerings. 4. Student Safety and Well-being: The administration addressed concerns and outlined measures to ensure student safety and mental health support. 5. Volunteer Opportunities: Parents were encouraged to get involved in various school events and committees. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for parents, teachers, and administrators to come together, share ideas, and work collaboratively towards supporting student success. The principal explained all their queries and concerns and assured them to implement it in the school.  The principal thanked the parents for their availability and interest in coming for this meeting.
