12th May 2024, Rambrai: Mount Calvary Parish in Rambrai observed Ascension Sunday with a vibrant array of celebrations, intertwining spiritual reverence with cultural festivities. The occasion marked not only the solemnity of Ascension but also the commemoration of Mother's Day and the feast of St. Dominic Savio, their beloved patron saint. Led by Parish Priest Fr. Gilbert Gel Bhoi SDB, alongside Assistant Parish Priests Fr. Khlaiñbor Warjri SDB and Fr. Alexius Dkhar SDB, the Holy Mass served as the cornerstone of the day's festivities. Youth organizers orchestrated a poignant cultural showcase honoring St. Dominic Savio, featuring songs, dance, and a theatrical portrayal. Meanwhile, the Sunday School children paid homage to mothers through a heartfelt dance to the Hail Mary in Khasi.
