Shillong, 9th April 2022: The 9th of April 2022 marked a day where the Salesian Province of Shillong, lovingly remembered Br. Paul Mojo who had left us a month back. In his loving memories, a month’s mind was held at DBTS. The event commenced with the Holy Eucharist at 6:30pm presided over by Fr. Saji Stephen, the Rector of DBTS along with 12 priests in the presence of few brothers and the hostellers of DBTS.
Introducing to the faithful at the start of the mass, Fr. Saji sang praises of Br. Paul Mojo’s humility and simplicity. Fr. D.John, of STC community gave the homily and shared his experiences he had with Br. Paul while he was at DBTS. Speaking during the Homily, Fr. D.John highlighted the significant of Br.Paul’s personality and his life as a religious saying: “He took pleasure in making us happy and took things even the smallest one very seriously.” In line with the Gospel of the day under the theme ‘signs’ the preacher beautifully brought to its limelight Br.Paul as a man who had found a sign for all mankind to see i.e. ‘He Hopes even in the smallest things because he has known the giver of Hope.’ This event finally came to its culmination with the fellowship meal served for all confrers who were present there.
