INTER-HOUSE FACE PAINTING COMPETITION AT ST.XAVIER’S HR SEC SCHOOL,PATHALIAGHAT


10th August 2024, Pathaliaghat: An Inter-house Face Painting Competition, for Boys and Girls, was organized at St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat on 10th August 2024 in the school premises. 80 students from four different houses: Bosco, Nehru, Gandhi and Teresa participated, showcasing their face painting skills on willing models. The Face Painting Competition was a colorful and creative event that brought out the artistic talents of our students. The competition aimed to encourage self-expression, fine motor skills, and imagination. Good themes like animals, superheroes, birds, designs, nature, and fantasy creatures were painted on the faces of the students which captivated and mesmerized the audience. A four-member jury, Ms. Moni Jamatia, Ms. Cynthia Debbarma, Mr. Clement Guria and Mr. Sailen Jamata, evaluated the competition based on creativity, painting skills, colouring and overall impact. The audience was impressed by the students' creativity and skill. In the boy's category, Teresa House bagged the coveted First Prize for their impressive Save the Earth design. While the Second Prize is taken by Gandhi House for their creative butterfly design. The Third Prize is shared by Gandhi House and Nehru House respectively for their impressive designs. In the Girls' category the First Prize is bagged by Bosco House while the second and third prizes were taken by Nehru House and Teresa House respectively. Fr. Babu Stephen, the principal, while addressing the students during the competition appreciated and congratulated the creativity and imagination displayed by the students. He further said that the face paintings were amazing. For many students, participating in the face painting competition was so much fun and exciting. The Face Painting Competition provided a platform for students to showcase their artistic skills and creativity in the best way possible. It also helped them to work as a team. The house captains played a vital role in making the competition a resounding success for all. We look forward to many more colorful and imaginative events.
