30th Ocotber 2024, Herma: Fr. Genesius Wanniang SDB, the Provincial Economer of the Salesian Province of Shillong, paid a two-day visit to Bosco Home Herma Pre-Novitiate from 29 to 30 October 2024. His visit was marked by a spirit of joy, gratitude, and fraternity, bringing encouragement and inspiration to the young Salesians in formation. On the evening of 29 October, a special gathering was organized in honor of Fr. Genesius. The pre-novices, along with the hostelers, performed a variety of cultural items, including dancing, singing, and acting. These performances were a showcase of the talents and creativity of the young students and were a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for Fr. Genesius's leadership and guidance. The lively event created an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration, reflecting the joy of the Salesian family and their deep respect for their Provincial Economer. The following morning, 30 October, after a shared breakfast with the community, Fr. Genesius took his leave to continue his travels to Bishramganj. Before departing, he took the opportunity to offer words of encouragement to the pre-novices, emphasizing the importance of their vocational journey and the values of the Salesian charism. Fr. Genesius’s visit was a meaningful occasion for the Bosco Home Herma Pre-Novitiate community. His presence strengthened the sense of unity and purpose among the young Salesians, inspiring them in their spiritual and academic formation. The visit, though brief, left a lasting impact, reinforcing the importance of community life and the Salesian mission in the region.
