DON BOSCO SCHOOL SIAHA COMMEMORATES INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING
26th June 2024, Siaha: Don Bosco School in Siaha observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with a comprehensive program led by the District Commissioner's office. The event commenced with all students taking a pledge against substance abuse, followed by a keynote address from Mrs. Helen Lalrinzuali, Superintendent of the DC Office. Grace Lalremtluangi of XII Arts delivered a soulful solo performance, adding to the solemnity of the occasion.
Mrs. Zino Hlychho, a Master Trainer, conducted an insightful session on drug prevention and awareness, emphasizing the dangers of substance abuse and its detrimental impact on individuals, families, and society. Urging the youth to resist peer pressure and make informed choices, she underscored the importance of a drug-free life for a promising future.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and snacks provided by the DC office, leaving a positive impact on students who gained valuable insights into combating drug abuse effectively.
