The inter-school competitions began with a short inaugural function held at 9:30 am in the football ground of St. Xavier’s Pathaliaghat in which Fr. Remol Marak said the opening prayer and Fr. Babu Stephen gave the words of welcome. Thereafter, Sr. Redina Marwein VSDB conducted the oath taking ceremony for all the participants of the games. The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Blasius Kujur, addressed all the participants and encouraged them to play a fair and friendly game as we all belong to the same family of Don Bosco. Fr. Isaac too addressed the participants and wished them best of luck.

All the four games: Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi and Throw Ball were conducted simultaneously both for boys and girls at St. Xavier’s campus which has been well prepared for the competitions and the campus was packed with students and teachers from all the five schools which really created a thrilling and an exciting mood for everyone. All the games conducted with utmost planning and precision which made everyone feel good. Teachers of different schools were appointed as referees for the various games and there was absolute coordination and understanding among the teachers with regard to the rules for the games.

St. Xavier’s School bagged the coveted champion’s trophy for Football, Volleyball and Kabaddi whereas Don Bosco School Herma lifted the Champions trophy for Throw Ball. Don Bosco School Bishramganj bagged two runner’s up trophy for Volleyball and Throw ball respectively while Don Bosco School Naba Sardar lifted the runner’s up trophy for Football and Don Bosco School Pitra for Kabaddi. The interesting thing about this competition was that all the schools carried home at least one trophy each due to their hard-work and commitment in the field of sports. The competitions were a grand success due to the hard work and team work many people and the fair game played by the students. This competition helped us to come together and work together as one family of Don Bosco and above to showcase the various talents of our young students in the field of sports. Thanks to all the school principals, teachers, students and other fathers, sisters and brothers who were part of this great event in Tripura. A special word of thanks to Fr. Babu Stephen who organized the whole event in a professional way and making everybody feel good about it. The attractive, and huge trophies were the highlights of the day. The day ended with the prize distribution by the Chief Guest and other guests who present for the programme. God bless Don Bosco Tripura.
