6th October 2024, Rambrai: On October 6, 2024, Mount Calvary Parish in Rambrai celebrated the successful conclusion of its Annual Youth Retreat with the confirmation of 169 teenagers by Most Rev. Bishop Wilbert Marweiñ. The retreat, which began on October 3, included extensive preparation led by Sister Felicita Rynshon and Fr. Alexius Dkhar. During the Holy Mass, Bishop Wilbert encouraged the confirmed youth to boldly profess their faith, drawing inspiration from the biblical figures Elijah and Jeremiah, emphasizing that it is God who empowers them. He urged them to remain steadfast in their faith amidst challenges and to cherish the importance of family unity, reflecting on the Genesis account of creation. The bishop expressed concern over the rising incidence of divorce, stressing that love and respect are essential for healthy family life. He also shared insights from his recent visit to the Vatican, highlighting the Church’s growth despite persecution. The day concluded with a meaningful adoration led by Fr. Barnabas, allowing the youth to reflect on their faith journey. After a day filled with spiritual growth and camaraderie, participants expressed gratitude and returned home, uplifted by the experience.
