20th February 2025, Tripura: On the evening of February 20, 2025, the Salesians of Tripura region witnessed a memorable and joyous occasion. The celebration was marked by the three new Salesian priests i.e., Fr. Santreki Muliar SDB, Fr. Shanborlin Khardewsaw SDB, and Fr. Jitendis Sohshang SDB, coming together to thank the lord for the gift of Priest and the birthday celebration of several confreres, including Fr. Remol Marak SDB, Fr. Santreki Muliar SDB, Cl. Bankitlang Lyngkhoi SDB, and Cl. Purnojoy Rupini SDB. The program commenced at 5:15 PM with the regional meeting of the Tripura region, gathering all the confreres from the region for a moment of fellowship and reflection. The excitement in the air was palpable, as the occasion held special significance for both the newly ordained priests and the entire community. The presence of the Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, and Pre-Novices further added to the warmth of the gathering. Following the meeting, the Holy Mass took place, marking the high point of the evening. The three newly ordained priests—Fr. Santreki Muliar SDB, Fr. Shanborlang Khardewsaw SDB, and Fr. Jitendis Sohshang SDB—were at the center of this sacred ceremony. Fr. Santreki Muliar SDB served as the main celebrant, leading the congregation in prayer and gratitude as he and his fellow priests offered their first Holy Mass. The Mass was a powerful and moving experience for everyone present, as it symbolized the new beginning in the lives of these men who had committed themselves to the service of God and His people. The Mass was also attended by many of the Salesian Fathers from the Tripura region, along with the Brothers, Sisters, and Pre-Novices, who joined together to celebrate this momentous occasion. Their collective prayers and support filled the sacred space with a sense of unity and reverence. Following the Mass, the celebration continued with a heartfelt felicitation of the three new priests, who were warmly congratulated by the community. The joyous occasion was further elevated by the birthday celebration of four confreres, including Fr. Remol Marak SDB, Fr. Santreki Muliar SDB, Cl. Bankitlang Lyngkhoi SDB, and Cl. Purnojoy Rupini SDB, all of whom were celebrating their birthdays in February. The event provided an opportunity for the community to show their appreciation for the dedication and service of these individuals.
