2nd May 2024, Pathaliagaht: Book fair plays a huge role in encouraging reading habit among people of all age groups. Books are uniquely portable magic. Book fairs are appetizer for further reading. A three days Book Fair is being organized at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School Pathaliagaht on 2nd, 3rd and 4th May 2024. Fr. Babu Stephen SDB, the Principal welcomed everyone for this mega event in the school. The inauguration was done by Fr. Babu Stephen, the principal of the school in the presence of school staff and students. The Seven Sisters Publication took the opportunity to organize this Book Fair under the leadership of Mr. Biswanath Roy Chowdhury. The venue was Conference Hall, in the Ground Floor. The venue was very well arranged and decorated by the team. Students of both the shifts enjoyed the Book Fair with full enthusiasm. There had been the corners for Education, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Activity (II), Activity (III-V), Story Books, Lower Primary, Amazing Reads, Literature for Teens etc. All the students celebrated the book fair in the school with great pomp and show. Wide range of books of all literary genres were displayed in the book fair. Children and the staff members enjoyed the fair and selected the books they wished to read. The opportunity to browse books of so many varieties and in a large number at a time was a wonderful experience for the children and parents. The aim was to encourage and inculcate the love for reading among students.
