BISHOP LUMEN MONTEIRO CSC, DD VISITS BOSCO HOME HERMA PRE-NOVITIATE


25th March 2025, Herma: The visit of Bishop Lumen Monteiro CSC, DD to Bosco Home Herma Pre-Novitiate took place from the evening of 24th March to the morning of 25th March 2025. His visit was marked by meaningful interactions and spiritual celebrations, enhancing the community’s experience at the pre-novitiate. Bishop Lumen arrived at Bosco Home Herma on the evening of 24th March 2025. The pre-novices, excited to welcome their esteemed guest, organized a warm and heartfelt short gathering in his honour. The event was characterized by prayer, music, and an atmosphere of reverence, creating a meaningful connection between the pre-novices and the bishop. The pre-novices performed a few items, which showcased their devotion and respect for His Lordship. This gathering allowed the bishop to interact with the young candidates, offering his guidance and blessings. The evening concluded with a dinner, where the community had the opportunity to engage with Bishop Lumen in a more informal setting. This dinner was not only a time of fellowship but also an opportunity for the pre-novices to personally connect with their bishop, share their aspirations, and seek his spiritual counsel. The following day, 25th March 2025, was a day of profound significance, as it marked the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord. On this holy occasion, Bishop Lumen celebrated the Holy Eucharist at Bosco Home Herma. The Eucharistic celebration was a moment of deep spiritual reflection for all present, with the pre-novices actively participating in the liturgy. During the Holy Mass, two pre-novices, Pynkhraw Thubru and Helarian Lamare, received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Lumen. This was a significant moment in their spiritual journey, and the bishop’s presence made it even more special for them and the community. The confirmation ceremony was a beautiful expression of faith and commitment, marking a milestone in the lives of these young men as they continue their formation in the Salesian tradition. After a solemn breakfast, Bishop Lumen prepared to leave Bosco Home Herma, continuing his journey to Agartala. His visit left a lasting impression on the pre-novices, staff, and the entire community. The time spent with Bishop Lumen was spiritually enriching and served as a reminder of the importance of faith, service, and community.
