Shillong 18th April: The Parish of Laitkor, yesterday the 17th Aprill honoured and cherished the memory of late Archbishop Dominic Jala SDB DD, by installing a bust of late Archbishop Dominic Jala besides the bust of the late Father Sylvanus Sngi Lyngdoh SDB. The bust was blessed by Fr Paul O. Lyngkot SDB, Provincial of Shillong Province. The occasion was graced by the presence of the family members of late Archbishop, Amit Mawrie, priests and religious and as well as the faithful of Laitkor. The bust was sponsored by Mr. Amit Mawrie. The socio cultural organization of the Parish did all the beautification of the place. In the afternoon of the same day, there was a grand Easter celebration ‘Ka Jingshad Paskha’ in which the people of the Laitkor Parish took part. His Grace Archbishop Victor Lyngdoh DD graced the occasion with his presence along with the MLA of Nongkrem constituency.
