AWARENESS ON BANKING KNOWLEDGE

15th July 2025, Pathaliaghat: A short yet enriching awareness programme on Banking Knowledge was held for the teachers of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat on 15th July 2025. The session was conducted in the office of the principal and was organized by the South Indian Bank, under the leadership of Mr. Rana Debnath, Branch Manager, Agartala. The session began in the afternoon with a warm welcome address and introductory words by Fr. K.A. Thomas, the Vice-principal. Mr. Rana Debnath, accompanied by two other representatives from the bank, took charge of the session and led the teachers through various essential topics related to banking.

    The key areas covered in the animation included:

    Importance of banking knowledge in daily life, understanding insurance policies, Basics of the share market, Special schemes offered by banks, the significance of a savings account, Procedure for opening and managing bank accounts, Awareness of digital banking facilities.

    The session was interactive, with the teachers raising relevant questions and concerns regarding different banking services and offers, which were addressed with clarity and expertise by the resource team.

    The programme proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all the participants. It not only enhanced the financial literacy of the teaching staff but also empowered them to make more informed financial decisions.
