DON BOSCO ASPIRANTATE, NONGLAKHIAT: MARIAN MONTH CELEBRATION 2025


31st May 2025, Nonglakhiat: As it is a cherished tradition in Salesian communities to dedicate the month of May in honour of our Blessed Mother, the community of Don Bosco Aspirantate, Nonglakhiat, organized the Marian Month celebration under the theme “Mary, the Tabernacle of Hope.” The celebration aimed to deepen our relationship with our Blessed Mother, strengthen our faith, and grow in Christian values in the spirit of Don Bosco.

    On the 1st of May, the Marian Month was officially inaugurated with a short programme and the hoisting of the Marian flag by the Dean of Studies, Fr. Anthony Kharbuki, SDB. During this month-long celebration, many interesting activities and competitions were conducted, including singing, drawing, essay writing, poetry, dance, treasure hunts, and other events centered on the life and virtues of Our Blessed Mother. In addition, indoor and outdoor games were held on a daily basis. Key highlights of the Marian activities included the Marian Rosary service, nose gays, serenades, sermonettes, and the daily practice of the three ‘Hail Marys.’
    The heartfelt support and guidance of the esteemed superiors—Fr. Bernard Pala (Rector), Fr. Reuben Lyngdoh (Administrator), and Fr. Anthony Kharbuki—were deeply felt and greatly appreciated. The Marian Month 2025 was officially concluded on the 31st of May with a grand Marian Nite and a prize distribution ceremony.
    In conclusion, the Marian Month celebration was a great success. It filled the community with cheerful laughter and joy. More importantly, beyond the fun and festivities, many lessons, skills, and values were imparted. The event created an atmosphere conducive to physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth. Above all, Marian Month remains a beautiful way to uphold Salesian tradition and foster unity within the community.
