Fr. Raphael Maiong, a Doctorate holder in Liturgy is currently the Director of ITLR and also serves as a professor at Sacred Heart Theological College. In his interaction with dbmnTV, Father Maiong shared that the book is a product of years of dedicated academic inquiry, pastoral engagement, and dialogue with young people, especially through seminars and catechetical programs.
“This book is not a product of a moment, but of many years of questions, reflections, and study—particularly of Church documents during my doctoral research,” Father Maiong explained. “It addresses a wide range of questions and answers about the Liturgy, the Sacraments, and various Catholic rituals.”
The book seeks to bridge the gap between liturgical theology and pastoral understanding, aiming to make the richness of the Church’s worship accessible and meaningful to clergy, catechists, youth, and the lay faithful.
Encountering Christ in the Eucharist is now available at Sacred Heart Theological College, Media World (Don Bosco Provincial House, Mathias Institute), and other Catholic bookstores.
