Shillong, October 20, 2024 — Youth Fest 2024 gathered spirited youth from 32 oratory canters across Meghalaya at Sacred Heart Theological College in Mawlai for a day dedicated to community, culture, and inspiration. With a focus on unity and empowerment, the event was Honored by the presence of Meghalaya cabinet ministers Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Sir Kyrmen Shylla and Smti. Rosetta Mary Kurbah, IAS, The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District. who served as chief guests, underscoring the significance of youth engagement in the state’s growth and development. The program commenced at 8:15 a.m. with a structured registration process, followed by a reverent Holy Mass to spiritually enrich participants. The Mass was Celebrated by Fr John Zosiama the Provincial of Shillong Province. A dedicated session followed, fostering discussion on youth leadership, aspirations, and collective growth. The afternoon saw an immersive cultural program, highlighting traditional dances, music, and performances reflecting the vibrant heritage of the participating centres. The day’s culmination, a dynamic jam session led by the youth of Tynring, created an energetic and inclusive atmosphere, leaving attendees inspired and unified. Youth Fest 2024 was widely regarded as a resounding success.
