24th Ocotber 2024, Rambrai: On October 24, 2024, St. John Bosco Higher Secondary School, Rambrai marked its Golden Jubilee with a day of celebrations. The event began with a Holy Mass led by Bishop Wilbert Marwein of the Diocese of Nongstoin, attended by clergy from Nongstoin diocese and Salesian confreres of Shillong Province and local religious communities, teachers and students both of the past and present. The bishop lauded the Don Bosco Salesian Society for its half-century of commitment to faith and education. In the afternoon, Fr. Gilbert Gel Bhoi, the school principal, welcomed dignitaries including Rev. Fr. Jeevan Lakra, Vice Provincial of Shillong Province, local MLA R.G. Momin, priests, religious, teachers, students, past pupils, parents and benefactors of the school. Momin presented a school bus as a commemorative gift to thank the institution for the commendable contribution it has rendered in the field of education in that area. The festivities concluded with Mr. and Ms. Jubilee competition, celebrating the school's vibrant community. Headmistress Sr. Marylang Suchiang FMA praised all participants and volunteers for their efforts in making the event a success, reflecting the school's rich legacy.
