31st August 2024, Pathaliaghat: To develop the sporting skills of our students, St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat organized different Inter-house outdoor competitions such as Football for Senior Boys, Volleyball for Senior Girls and Throw ball for Inter Girls on 31st August 2024 in the school premises. The house captains and vice-captains of Bosco, Nehru, Gandhi and Teresa along with teachers organized the competitions in a very professional manner. All the competitions were held simultaneously at different locations in the school premises. The outdoor competitions were a resounding success showcasing, team work, sportsmanship and athletic prowess of our students. The event aimed to promote healthy competition, house, spirit and physical fitness. The participants displayed exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship during the competition. Impressive performance by individual players and enthusiastic support from students and teachers were the highlights of the competition. In the football for senior boys, Gandhi House emerged as the Champion while Nehru House took the second place. In the senior girls Volleyball, Nehru House bagged the First prize while Bosco House won the Second prize. While addressing the gathering after the competition, the Principal, Fr. Babu Stephen congratulated and appreciated the students for their outstanding performance and teamwork. He said that these competitions foster a sense of community and healthy completions essential for personal growth and development. He also thanked the captains, vice-captains of the houses and teachers for organizing it in very professional manner.
