Shillong, August 14, 2024: In a noble gesture to honor the country’s 78th Independence Day, Rilang Children’s Home, in collaboration with Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, organized a cleaning drive from H. Elias School junction to Mizo Modern School Nongshilliang. The drive aimed to promote cleanliness, patriotism, and community service among the children and locals. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the children of Rilang Children’s Home, who took to the streets armed with brooms, dustpans, and trash bags. The children worked tirelessly to pick up litter, sweep the streets, and beautify the area. This cleaning drive is a wonderful way to show our love and respect for our country. The event concluded with a sense of pride and accomplishment, as the children celebrated their contribution to a cleaner and greener environment. The cleaning drive was part of Rilang Children’s Home’s ongoing efforts to instil values of social responsibility and patriotism among its children, in collaboration with Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’s Independence Day Campaign 2024.
