COMPANIES TO WORK WITH DON BOSCO TRAINING SCHOOLS FOR EMPLOYMENT
Shillong 22nd July 2024: In an effort to combat unemployment, the Salesian Society of Don Bosco Shillong Province has embarked on initiatives aimed at facilitating youth employment through comprehensive training across various sectors. These training programs are being conducted at institutions such as Don Bosco Technical Shillong, Don Bosco Youth Centre, DB Tech Nongstoin, Bosco Pnar, Peace Centre Agartala among others. Additionally, their partnerships with various companies enable them to place trained individuals in suitable roles within these organizations.
Today, in collaboration with Don Bosco Technical Shillong, the Bosco Integrated Development Society, the PDO of Salesian Province of Shillong, inaugurated a Mini Job Fair to facilitate employment opportunities for young job seekers in the state of Meghalaya.
The event was inaugurated by Father Shining Dkhar, Principal of Don Bosco Technical School. Present at the event were Vice Principal of the School Br. Lambert Lyngdoh, Saibok Khriam (Management Information System & Master of Engineering Officer), Alex Pariat, Kerlina Syiemlieh (Fast-food Trainer), and numerous job seekers.
Addressing the gathering, Father Shining Dkhar emphasized the importance of striving beyond government jobs and urged the youth to work diligently towards self-sufficiency, enabling them to contribute positively to society.
Several companies participated in the job fair, including Café Sola Shillong, Nongbri, ZN Solution, Reliance Jio, 24/7 AI, Savor By Dee, and Frank Motors, underscoring their commitment to providing employment opportunities to the youth.
