2nd July 2024, Shillong: Rilang Children's Home in Nongthymmai witnessed a successful Aadhaar enrollment and renewal drive, benefiting the children and staff residing in the home. The event aimed to ensure that all individuals had access to this crucial government-issued identity document. The drive was conducted by a team of officials from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), who set up a special camp at the home. The team efficiently enrolled new beneficiaries and renewed existing Aadhaar cards, making the process smooth and hassle-free. A total of 25 children and 6 staff members benefited from the drive. The home's management expressed gratitude to the UIDAI team for their support and efforts in making the event a success. The Aadhaar enrollment and renewal drive has ensured that the children and staff at Rilang Children's Home are now equipped with a vital document essential for availing various government services and benefits.
