ST. XAVIER’S SCHOOL HOLDS THE INTER HOUSE GROUP DANCE COMPETITION


22nd June 2024, Pathaliaghat: To hone the dancing skills and talents of the students of the school, an Inter House Group Dance Competition was organized on 22nd June 2024 at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat in the school auditorium with the pomp and gusto. The competition was held in two categories: Seniors and Inters (Boys and Girls). True to their talents, the vivacious dancers of the school set the floor on fire with their vibrant, colourful and energetic performances and this was indeed a reflection of their passion, hard work and team spirit. The costumes, choreography, rhythm, synchronization and expressions of all the dancers were enthralling and enchanting for the audience. In the senior category for boys, Nehru House bagged the coveted First Prize by scoring 75 points while Bosco House emerged as the Second Prize winner with 72 points while Gandhi House and Teresa House won the third and fourth positions respectively. In the senior category for Girls, Gandhi House took everyone by surprise by bagging First prize with 85 points and Teresa House won the Second Prize with 82 points. The Third and Fourth positions were taken by Nehru and Bosco Houses respectively. In the Inter category for Boys, Bosco House was declared as Winner with 61 points while Teresa house as Second Prize winner. The third and fourth positions were taken by Gandhi and Nehru with 55 and 50 points respectively. In the inter category for Girls, Nehru House took the First Prize by scoring 83 points while Teresa emerged as the second prize winner with 82 points, whereas Bosco and Gandhi took the third and fourth prizes with 76 and 69 points respectively. The judges, Ms. Teresa, Ms. Ganga and Ms. Ambalika congratulated the winners and appreciated the performance of all the students and also encouraged them to participate more in such competitions in the school to enhance their talents and dancing skills. The results of the competition were declared by Fr. Babu Stephen, the Principal and he thanked everyone for their active participation and hard work. He also exhorted everyone to keep up the same spirit and work as a team. He specially thanked all the captains and vice-captains of the various houses for their leadership qualities.
