24th May 2024, Rangblang: Rangblang Parish celebrated the feast day of Mary Help of Christians with fervor and enthusiasm, paying homage to the special title bestowed by Don Bosco and his sons. The day was marked by various activities and culminated in a solemn Mass at Mary Mount "Lum Maria," a hillock dedicated to the Blessed Mother. The celebration commenced with a morning assembly at the school, featuring special performances including a Marian skit by the convent girls and a heartfelt rendition of Marian hymns. Throughout the afternoon, students engaged in activities tailored to their age groups, including a Marian speech for students from Class 8 to XII, a sing-out session for students from Class 5 to 7, and a drawing activity depicting Mary Help of Christians for students from Classes 3 and 4. At around 4:30 PM, parishioners gathered at Mary Mount "Lum Maria" for a solemn service, beginning with the recitation of the Holy Rosary. The highlight of the evening was a Mass celebrated in honor of Mary Help of Christians. The occasion was marked by expressions of gratitude for various blessings, including milestones within the Salesian family and academic achievements of the school in the SSLC and HSSLC results. During the Mass, Fr. Jeff delivered a thought-provoking homily, drawing parallels between the dream of Don Bosco involving a snake and a robe, and emphasizing the transformative power of the Rosary in our lives. The celebration concluded with the solemn blessing of Mary Help of Christians, uniting the parish community in prayer and thanksgiving. Gratitude was expressed to all participants, including brothers, sisters, Bosco Youths, hostellers, and faithful parishioners, with a collective invocation for Mother Mary's intercession in their lives.
