Mizoram, May 31 2023: Don Bosco School – Thenzawl organized a “No Tobacco Day” with a peaceful rally of 4km walk from the school to the town and back to the school, with the intention of imparting awareness on the danger of Tobacco on ones’ life. The students of classes III to X along with the management and the staff took part in the rally. The total number of participants were about 200. During the rally, the students carry along placards with writings and drawing such as “say no to Tobacco,’ ‘No smoking’, etc.. Having reached the town, the Principal of the school Fr. Richard Rapthap read out the pledge, saying ‘we promise to stop consuming tobacco’. The rally ended with a short message about ‘No Tobacco’ by the Principal.
