Shillong 25th May: On the 24th of May 2023, the Mandwi Parish celebrated the Parish Day on the feast day of the solemnity of Mary Help of Christians. The day begins with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 11am by His Grace Bishop Lumen Monteiro CSC. DD, the Bishop of Agartala Diocese. There were 9 priests concelebrated together with the Bishop. The Bishop also administered the Sacrament of Confirmation and First communion, 72 adults received the Sacrament of Confirmation and 8 received the First Communion. The Parish is grateful to His Grace Bishop Lumen Monteiro for his availability and support. Soon after the Holy Eucharist, the faithful went for lunch which was prepared by the Motha People together with the Parish Council members. Shortly after there was a short felicitation program organized by the youth of the Parish. It was very well organized. Mrs. Sapna Debbarma, the MLA of the Mandwi Constituency was the chief guest of the day. She was very delighted and happy to be part of the programmed on the occasion of the Parish Feast. The programmed and the celebration of today's feast were successful.
