Shillong, December 3, 2024 - Rilang Children's Home joined the observation of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities at St. Claret School, Nomgmynsong. This year's theme, "Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future," highlighted the importance of promoting inclusivity and empowerment. Under the leadership of Fr. Shemphang, Incharge of Rilang, three boys from the home participated in the event, engaging in games and activities that fostered camaraderie and inclusivity. The highlight of the day came in the afternoon when the boys from Rilang emerged victorious in various games, winning prizes and accolades. Their enthusiasm and teamwork were on full display, making the event a memorable one for all involved. The event was a valuable opportunity for Rilang Children's Home to promote awareness, acceptance, and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
