15th February 2025, Mandwi: The Tripura Region Don Bosco School Principal's Meet was held on 15th February 2025 at Don Bosco School Mandwi with the participation of all the Principals from the Don Bosco Schools of Herma, Agartala, Mandwi, Bishramganj, Nabasardar, Baijalbari, Pitra, and Pathaliaghat. The esteemed principals who attended the meeting were Fr. Babu, Fr. Sebastian, Fr. Sunny, Fr. Suman, Fr. Juel, and Fr. Remol. Upon their arrival, the principals were given a grand and heartfelt welcome by the Mandwi hostel boys. The meeting commenced at 5:30 pm with a prayer led by Fr. Suman, who also shared a brief introduction and the purpose of the gathering. The principals engaged in discussions regarding various common programmes and activities across the eight Don Bosco Schools in Tripura. The meeting initiated with deliberations on a common animation programme for all Catholic students, scheduled for August at Don Bosco Nabasardar. Further discussions covered the commencement of the new academic session and a common training programme for teachers. It was decided that the training would take place in April at St. Xavier's School Pathaliaghat, divided into two sessions—one for Primary teachers and another for Upper Primary and Higher Secondary teachers. Additionally, the meeting included planning for a Bible Quiz competition and a common sports meet in May, featuring Football, Volleyball, Throwball, and Kabaddi. Several administrative matters were also addressed, including the need for counselors and nurses in schools, shared responsibilities among staff, and a joint animation programme for all school captains, vice-captains, class leaders, and house leaders. Discussions extended to establishing a common policy for admissions and teacher recruitment, improving facilities, enhancing language proficiency among staff and students, maintaining discipline, implementing child protection policies, and reinforcing the Salesian pedagogy and presence within the schools. The meeting concluded at 8:00 pm, followed by a delightful and sumptuous dinner, marking the end of a productive and enriching discussion aimed at fostering collaboration and excellence in the Don Bosco Schools of Tripura.
