Tripura 30th June: The month of June is the month dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Thus, to show their devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, on the 30th of June, the community of Bosco Home Herma went for a pilgrimage to the Sacred Heart Parish Bishramganj which is 10 km from the community. The pre-novices together with the Salesians set out from Herma on foot at around 2:30 pm and reached the parish at 4:00pm. On arrival, they were warmly welcomed by the confreres of the parish. The Pilgrimage began with the adoration and confession and followed with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist which is officiated by Fr. Mathachan, the Rector. During the sermon, he insisted the Pre-novices to have a strong devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the need to have a concern for other people just like Jesus who was concerned about the leper who came and asked for his healing touch. After the Holy Mass, a short refreshment was served before the Pre-Novices embarked they journey for Herma singing and praising God along the way with songs and rosary prayer.
