DON BOSCO FOOD FEST ATTRACTS THOUSANDS AT PATHALIAGHAT

25th August 2025, Pathaliaghat: St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, organized a grand DON BOSCO FOOD FEST on 25th August 2025 in the school campus. The event, organized by the students of Classes IX–XII, turned out to be one of the most memorable and vibrant days of the academic year.

A total of 17 stalls were set up, each carrying beautiful and catchy names that instantly attracted the visitors. Thousands of students and parents thronged the venue to experience the rich variety of cuisines on display. The fest offered a delightful mixture of Tripuri traditional food, Indian dishes, Chinese, Korean specialties, food cooked in bamboos, soft drinks, and continental cuisine.

Under the guidance of their class teachers, the students worked tirelessly to prepare delicious and sumptuous dishes which were showcased and sold in the stalls. The response was overwhelming, and within a short time, most stalls saw their food items being sold out. Parents and children walked into the school’s assembly hall to enjoy the variety of meals and were highly appreciative of the students’ efforts and creativity.

The traditional attire worn by the students added a splash of color and cultural pride to the entire celebration. Alongside the food stalls, students also entertained the gathering with songs and dances, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. The stalls themselves were beautifully decorated with bamboo, traditional fabrics, and colorful designs, making them highly attractive.

The day not only offered a feast for the stomach but also became a learning experience for the students. It helped them to work as a team, manage resources, and exhibit their God-given talents in cooking and hospitality. The enthusiastic participation of parents and the neighbourhood community enhanced the spirit of togetherness and festivity.

The Food Fest concluded with joy and satisfaction as everyone went home happy and contented. Both staff and students expressed their gratitude to the principal for providing such a wonderful opportunity to showcase their skills.

The Food Fest 2025 was indeed a grand success and will be remembered as a day of learning, sharing, and celebration.
