BOSCO HOME HERMA BIDS A HEARTFELT FAREWELL TO BROTHER LEO MYRCHIANG SDB


27th July 2025, Herma: On the evening of 27th July 2025, the Bosco Home Herma community came together to bid a heartfelt farewell to Brother Leo Myrchiang SDB, Assistant to the Pre-Novices of the 2024–2025 batch. The farewell programme commenced at 7:00 PM in the community hall, with the presence of all the fathers, the Pre-Novices, and the domestic staff. The gathering was gracefully led by one of the Pre-Novices, who warmly welcomed everyone and set the tone for the evening. A touching speech was delivered by the Rector of the community, Fr. Glorious Syiemlieh, in which he expressed deep gratitude to Brother Leo for his dedication, sacrifices, and the positive influence he brought to the house throughout the year 2024-2025.

    The evening continued with various vibrant performances presented by the Pre-Novices, showcasing their appreciation through song, dance, and exquisite address. Brother Leo then took the stage to share his parting message. Speaking from the heart, he encouraged the Pre-Novices to embrace obedience in their formation journey and to wear the “armour of obedience” as a guiding principle in their vocation. In a special gesture, Simon Hallam, on behalf of all the Pre-Novices and the community delivered a heartfelt farewell address, highlighting Brother Leo’s impact on their lives. As a token of love and appreciation, Fr. Rector and the Captain of the batch presented gifts to Brother Leo on behalf of the community.
    The programme concluded with an emotional group rendition of the song “Even When I’m Not”, symbolizing that although Brother Leo may no longer be physically present, his legacy and presence will always remain in the hearts of the community. The event was officially brought to a close with a photo session, capturing the memories of the evening.
