A Warm Welcome to New Beginnings: Class XI Induction at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School

Shillong / Pathaliaghat, 2 June 2025 – St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to its newly admitted Class XI students with an engaging and vibrant welcome programme held in the school hall. The event, held on 2nd June 2025, began at 9:00 a.m. with a solemn prayer and a graceful prayer dance, invoking God’s blessings for the academic journey ahead.

    Fr. K.A. Thomas, Vice-Principal of the school, set the tone for the day with a warm and encouraging welcome address to the students and guests. The programme was compered with elegance and confidence by the School Captain, Master Bijoy Molsom of Class XII.

    The stage, beautifully adorned by Bro. Agustin, reflected the celebratory spirit of the occasion. The newly admitted students were warmly embraced into the Xavierian family, creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

    The cultural segment of the event featured a series of energetic and colourful dance performances and soulful musical renditions by students from Classes VII to XII. These performances not only showcased the artistic talents of the students but also highlighted the vibrant school spirit.

    Fr. K.K. Joseph, Rector of the institution, delivered an inspiring address, assuring the students of a joyful, enriching journey ahead. He encouraged them to feel at home and expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the programme.

    The event concluded with an orientation session for the new students, introducing them to the school’s vision, values, and expectations—marking a meaningful start to their new academic chapter.
