DON BOSCO SCHOOL, LAWNGTLAI HOSTS SPIRITUAL RETREAT FOR STUDENTS

10th September 2025, Lawngtlai: The spiritual retreat kicked off on 10th September 2025 with a solemn ceremony at St. Francis Xavier Church. Students gathered eagerly to embark on this spiritual journey. Rev. Fr. Nelson Joseph, the Principal of Don Bosco School, Lawngtlai, warmly welcomed Rev. Fr. James Zodinliana from St.Thomas Church, Aizawl, the Retreat Preacher, setting the tone for a meaningful experience. The school's Brass Band added to the festive atmosphere with a welcome song and devotional hymn. The Retreat was attended by Fr. John Changsan, the Parish Priest, Fr. Synshar, the Vice Principal, and the dedicated faculty members, underscoring the school's commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth of its students.

    The retreat from 10th to 12th September 2025, brought together students from classes 7 to 12 for the first time. Rev. Fr. James Zodinliana's inspiring reflections and thought-provoking sessions addressed life issues relevant to young people in today's world, with a special focus on the Mizoram context. The students actively participated, singing lively hymns and engaging deeply with the spiritual themes.

    Classes 9-12 attended the retreat on 10th and 11th September 2025, accompanied by their teachers, while classes 7 and 8 participated on 12th September. The retreat concluded with the students taking resolutions, reflecting their newfound understanding and commitment to their faith and life situation. Both students and parents expressed heartfelt appreciation for the retreat, acknowledging its positive impact.

    The retreat has set a promising precedent, providing a platform for students to deepen their spiritual growth and to look at their life situation. Don Bosco School Lawngtlai looks forward to continuing its commitment to holistic education, nurturing the faith and spiritual life its students. Heartfelt thanks to Rev. Fr.
