TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION TRAINING PROJECT ANNUAL REVIEW & PLANNING MEETING HELD IN SHILLONG
Shillong, 13th December 2024 – The TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) Project held its Annual Review & Evaluation and Planning Meeting on December 12th and 13th, 2024, at the BIDS (Bosco Integrated Development Society) office in Shillong. The two-day event brought together Directors, Principals, Coordinators, and Accountants from six centres of the province, along with the Central team and project partners from Jorhat and Germany.
The meeting began with a warm welcome from Fr. James Thyrniang, Executive Director of BIDS, who highlighted the significance of the event. A comprehensive project overview was presented, reflecting on 38 months of progress, key outcomes, and challenges encountered.
The agenda included project evaluation, focusing on successes and setbacks, and financial management, which was addressed by Financial Advisor Dharmendra Kumar Singh. A documentary showcasing the TVET project’s journey and the launch of the Bosco E-Hub website and KNOW-INS MIS were key highlights of Day 1.
On Day 2, discussions centered on project sustainability, using a SWOT analysis to identify challenges and solutions. Participants engaged in strategic planning for resource mobilization, emphasizing financial sustainability and potential for future project extensions.
The meeting concluded with Fr. Cyril Tirkey, Assistant Director of BIDS, delivering the closing remarks and a vote of thanks. Participants left with a renewed commitment to the project’s long-term success, highlighting its potential for future impact on vocational education.
